Pauillac wines have the highest Cabernet Sauvignon proportion of any of the Bordeaux wines, and manifest typical Cabernet aromas of blackcurrant, mint and cedar. Other permitted grape varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
